Well folks.... the day is upon us! Emily and I are all going to be running/walking in our first 5k together, the Dedham Trails 5k fun run! It will be Emily's 2nd and my first. I have been training for this for over 3 weeks and is one of my milestones of doing WeightWatchers!
This past Monday, in preparation I decided to take a free Zumba class that was offered at Patriot Place right on the NRG Plaza outside of the Hall at Patriot Place and the Patriots ProShop. It was my first Zumba class and Emily and I will be writing a recap of it this weekend.
I'm happy to report that as of yesterday, June 11, I have lost a total of 15 lbs so far on this journey. I feel more energized and ready to tackle this event!
After this 5k, I'll be keeping up with the Couch-to-5k training for the Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 5k on Friday, July 3rd! That one starts at 6 pm for the 5k and there's also a kid's fun run starting at 3 pm. Such a great time!
